HAD Hydration is looking for an Infusion Specialist to help with infusion therapy treatments and injections. In this position, you will set up clients with an IV infusion or Injections of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and medications. Our ideal applicant is someone who is well versed in infusion therapy and has excellent IV start skills. This position is a per diem position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Correctly identifies the client for infusion.
Efficiently inserts and monitors IV catheters.
Demonstrates the ability to properly use and maintain equipment.
Assesses clients throughout the infusion for adverse reactions.
Documents medications, vital signs, and side effects in the medical record.
Educates clients and family about IV Vitamin Therapy.
Responds appropriately to side effects, adverse reactions, or anaphylaxis during infusion.
Evaluates and manages clients within the infusion clinic or at their mobile location.
Maintains a cooperative relationship among co-workers by appropriate communication of information
Communicates clients assessment findings, status, and response to the care team.
May perform other duties as assigned or requested
Required Qualifications:
Current unrestricted RN license in the state of Missouri
Current BLS
Current unrestricted driver's licenses and own vehicle to drive
Ability to do basic drug calculations with accuracy
Experience starting IV’s in different settings
Required Skills/Abilities:
Self-starter that can perform tasks efficiently and accurately
Ability to work autonomously
Comfortable working independently in clients home or office
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
Drive to and from multiple different locations
Strong communication and patient care skills
Excellent IV start skills
Infusion therapy experience and training (preferred)
Shift Requirements:
Per-Diem as needed
1-2 day a week
Shifts vary from 4-8 hours
Saturday shifts as needed
Installs in minutes
Duties/Responsibilities:
● Greet Clients as they walk in
● Answer phones and schedule appointments
● Room clients
● Take and document Vital Signs
● Give IM and SQ injections
● Assist Infusion nurse as needed
● Maintains a cooperative relationship among co-workers by appropriate communication of
information
● May perform other duties as assigned or requested
Required Skills/Abilities:
● Current unrestricted driver's licenses and can get to self to work on time
● Good customer service
● Proficient computer skills
● Self-starter that can perform tasks efficiently and accurately
● Comfortable working independently
● Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
● Strong communication and patient care skills
● Basic understanding of medical terminology
● Current BLS is a plus
● Previous clinic experience is a plus
Shift Requirements:
● 20-30 hours a week
● Monday-Friday 8am-1pm
● Occasional 4 hour weekend shift (10am-2pm)
Compensation:
● W2 employee
● Pay $12-$15 an hour
